Today, April 26, 2010 at 20 months and 4 days, Connor peed in his potty for the very first time!!!Yes, I am that mom that took his picture! (at least I didn't post these on Facebook....)
Brian was quick to give him a sucker as a reward for his monumental achievement even before he got up. That, in addition to our cheering and praise sealed the deal for him that peeing in the potty is a big, wonderful event. :)
I put a pull-up on him after this and he pooped in it about 2 hours later, but there was no pee. :) When I changed him back into a diaper, I gave him the opportunity to pee again, and he managed to force a little out....again, so proud. Hopefully this is the beginning of a successful toilet training attempt!
(I personally love the picture of him clapping for himself. :) And yes, the potty is in our entryway....whatever it takes, ya know?!)
