16 month pictures

So, I know he is 17 months old now, but it took me forever to get the pictures scanned. Nonetheless, here is the little man....so big now!

Just for the record....I despise the gray background curtain and Connor was quite the beast getting his picture taken on this particular day in late December. He was running everywhere and would NOT sit still. Most of the pictures the lady took were action shots. If only she would have been willing to go behind the curtain to take the pictures, she would have gotten some really cute ones...he was having a ball back there.

Oh, and I don't think I ever posted these either. Here he is at 11 months. If you compare the 2 sets of pictures, you'll notice he still doesn't have any "friends" for those bottom two teeth. I think it is crazy that he has 4 molars before anymore up front on the bottom!

These were taken about 2 weeks before his first haircut. :)

misc. late January

I stepped out of the room for a minute, and when I came back Connor took over my work. :)

I only had to correct of few of the alterations he made to my design!
Maybe he'll be a MacMan when he grows up? :)

new favorite toy...the exercise ball

squealing with delight!

reading Dizzy Dragon with Daddy. I just found the rest of the "Charlie Monkey" books at TJMaxx and Marshalls. There are 4 total and Connor was so excited. Charlie Monkey is by far his favorite book.

Connor plays Hockey!

Maybe I'll get to be a "pitbull hockey-mom". :)

The lake in our backyard has been frozen for a while now. (Although I wouldn't go out today because it was a balmy 39ยบ!!)

A few doors down a bunch of the guys got busy with their snowblowers and created a very big rink. We attempted to do the same in our backyard, but just with shovels and it kept snowing! Anyway, we all went down to check it out and I even skated a bit. We all need to get our own skates.

Ian played hockey in college and has taught kids before, so we will definitely be hitting him up to teach Connor in the future! What can we say, Connor just looks like a natural. :)

Bathtime Mohawk.

A few bathtime pictures from when Brian treated C to a bubble bath....complete with a mohawk. The kid has SO MUCH hair, and it needs to be cut, yet again.

Connor meets Tessa Jackson

Luke, Melissa, and Tessa Jackson came over to the Nealon's on New Years Day. Aaron and Lara Weems also came over, so we all had a great time watching the two munchkins interact.

It wasn't long and Tessa knew a good thing when she saw it....heheheh. They loved hugging each other and shared a few kisses as well. (Lara's hands are helping hold Tessa up, but that was all she was doing...:))what can we say....Tessa wanted him...bad. :)

is he seriously trying to look up her skirt?!? Uh oh!

Curls no more.

I know I need to upload new pictures of Connor and especially the latest ones of him playing "hockey", but I'll get to that later.

For now, I am updating all of you that I am no longer in denial.....my hair is not curly anymore.

I don't know if it was the hormones from being pregnant or if it is because I live in non-humid Michigan, but I officially have straight hair. I know that the vast majority of you could really care less, but I just don't want to be one of those people that pretends to have curly hair when it is only wavy at best....and not even wavy all over.

I've been thankful for my hair for most of my life because it was so versatile...curly and straight. The truth is, I had to work to get it either way. It was always just in the middle. However, those days are gone. I think this is more of a hormonal change and not just environmental because my hair doesn't even really hold curl from a curling iron or rollers anymore. Back in the day, after rolling my hair, I would have huge "Texas" hair until I washed it...my curls never fell. Now I can't get anything to stick...for even a few minutes. Even the ends don't curl under or out very well....? :(

Anyway, I will stop boring all of you now. Just don't expect to see curly blonde hair anymore because.....1-it is not "curly", and 2-it is not blonde. It isn't dark dark brown either, but I'm definitely a light brunette now thanks to my 6 hour low-lights and cut at the Brown Aveda Institute in Ohio over Christmas/New Years. (yes, 6 hours....Brian and Leslie called the salon to make sure I wasn't in a ditch....it is a school, so I had students working on my hair. They did a great job, it just took forever. Next time I will eat breakfast!!!)

Don't worry...less boring Connor pictures to come. :)
